After very good tests with the Prost-Peugeot AP01B, Alain would like to use that new car in Suzuka 1998, the last Grand Prix of this season! The AP01B is a hybrid car with a new gearbox, the first evolution of the 1999-version of the Peugeot V10 engine and better aerodynamics than the actual car.

Jarno Trulli was very happy with the AP01B and found it very competitive. Unfortunately, Team Prost has only enough spare parts for one car. This would mean, that they could only use one of those new cars in Suzuka... For the moment, Alain has not decided if he will use the AP01B in Japan or not...
