On Monday, 17th March, and Tuesday, 18th March 1997, Alain's Team had tests with the Prost-Mugen Honda JS45/01 on Silverstone-circuit. The weather on Monday was o.k., but quite cold, on Tuesday it rained in the morning, in the afternoon it was dry but with strong winds. The driver, Olivier Panis, completed 52 laps on Monday, 58 on Tuesday. His best official lap was a 1:22,92 on Monday. There is no reference time because the circuit is modified since the last British GP. Olivier Panis was quite satisfied with the work of Team Prost. In the rain, Olivier was very quick - he made the second best time on Monday and was the fastest on Tuesday. He was again very impressed by the Bridgestone tyres in wet conditions. Let's hope, it will rain in Brasil and Argentina...
