March 1999 was not Alain's lucky month: the Prost-Team won no points in Australia and the French company "Tête dans les nuages" has big problems. Alain is participating in this video games-company... "Tête dans les nuages" already had to close 5 of 25 localities and they had a loss of 80'000'000 French Francs in 1998.

April seems to be a better month for Alain: Olivier Panis won the first point for the Team Prost Grand Prix of this season...Olivier was happy, of course. He said that this point is important for him and for the Team Prost and Peugeot, because they had to work very hard to get there and because it finally demonstrates the potential of the car.

Jarno Trulli didn't finish. He said, that already after a few laps he felt a problem with the gearbox: the fifth gear kept jumping. This got worse and worse. He got in the pits in 21st lap, but unfortunately, they could not solve the problem...

Before he went to Brazil, Jarno Trulli visited Alain Prost in Paris to talk with him. Jarno criticised the Team Prost after the first race of this season in Australia. But Alain wasn't angry because of this criticism. Alain wanted to know, if it's true, that Ferrari contacted Jarno, as there has been rumours coming from Italy, that Jarno will replace Irvine at Ferrari for the season 2000. The Prost-Team has an option for the year 2000 in Jarno's contract. There's a clause in Jarno's actual contract which says, that he can change the team, if there is no success (I don't know how exactly it's written in the contract, of course). But Ferrari has not yet contacted Jarno Trulli, but of course, there are some teams interested in him. Alain said, that he does understand the criticism of Jarno, as Jarno is young and wants to go ahead in his career, like Alain himself several years ago...
